BizTech@Wharton Conference

The Evolving World of Ecommerce

12.02.2011@The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia

Welcome to the 2012 BizTech@Wharton Conference

Now in its 17th year, BizTech@Wharton is a premier industry conference representing the latest thinking on the business of technology. Every year, hundreds of professionals from the industry’s most innovative and influential technology firms get up to date on leading strategies and business models through engaging sessions and networking opportunities.

BizTech@Wharton surveys this momentous year in business technology and provides thought leadership on the path forward for mobile monetization, the fight for share of usership across devices, the latest rush for new models of eCommerce, and many others.

The industry’s latest developments challenge business strategies of the past. Facebook IPO’ed but is stymied by the nagging question of mobile monetization. The Windows 8 debut bids to retain cross-device OS dominance while Apple leads innovation with sleeker and ever-more-ubiquitous gadgets. Groupon tried to keep hot in the race for local market share as eBay reinvented itself and Amazon defended its turf. Meanwhile, startups like Luminosity and foursquare are keeping everyone on their toes as the industry still tries to figure out what virtualization, cloud computing and big data mean for their business models.

The 2012 BizTech@Wharton Conference promises to unravel what these and other developments mean for tech executives seeking to constantly innovate and reinvent their businesses.
